
We visited Quita Do Vallado for a tour and associated tastings. We were offered the chance to try something very special, an 1888 port, delivered in a tiny, delicately delivered phial. The taste was phenomenal, rich yet balanced, and for days afterwards I felt that I could still just about feel it in my mouth. Quite aside from being the oldest food or drink I had ever consumed, this was quite probably the most fantastic, too.
