A classic road trip detour took me to Griffith, where I met up with St Albans CC friend, Ben McInnes, who has somehow found himself in this unlikely Australian outpost. His new cricket club's home ground looked like a classic Australian country sports field, expansive, flat, dry and with miles of open space around it.
