Guided by another generous host, Priya, I was taken up to Harlem, to Bill's Place, a parlor bar that really invited us into a home. In this intimate setting, Bill Saxton lead a four piece on a jazz trip. The highlight was the masterful pianist whose lively hands ran up and down the keyboard, in an unabashed display of musical passion. This stands out as a highlight of this, most recent, visit to NYC.
